Our Story
A Party Built on Showing Up
The Taylor County Democratic Party has long been a home for West Texans who believe in the promise of an equitable, well-represented democracy. From Abilene to the farthest corners of the county, we organize, educate, and advocate on behalf of every resident.
We may be in a tough county for Democrats, but that's exactly why our work matters. We are not a party that shows up only in election years — we are here every Saturday, every month, through every campaign season and every off-year alike.
Our doors are open to anyone who believes Taylor County can do better. You don't need to have all the answers. You just need to care about your community.

Voter Registration Drives
We run regular drives to help Taylor County residents register, update their information, and confirm their eligibility before every election.
Weekly Open Meetings
Every Saturday from 10 AM to noon, we host Donuts with Democrats — an open door for anyone who wants to talk issues, meet fellow Democrats, or just get involved.
Canvassing & Outreach
Our volunteers knock doors, staff booths at community events, and build relationships across every corner of Taylor County.
Supporting Local Candidates
We identify, recruit, and stand behind Democratic candidates running for offices at every level — from county seats to the state legislature.
Civic Education & Advocacy
We host town halls and issue forums to keep the community informed about local policy, state legislation, and the issues that shape everyday life in Abilene and Taylor County.
